Marie-Louise Scio’s childhood reads a lot like Eloise-meets-La Dolce Vita. Her father owns Tuscany’s storied Hotel Il Pellicano, which played host to everyone from the Casiraghis to the Fendis and Missonis. Now Scio is Vice President and Creative Director of Pellicano Hotels Group, which includes both Il Pellicano as well as Rome’s La Posta Vecchia Hotel. We spend some one-on-one time with her. #ToryTunic

My style is…
Classic with a twist.

And my secret styling trick…
Not being trendy>

First fashion memory…
My mother’s Capucci gowns.

Best fashion advice ever received…
“Always be unique and yourself” — from Robert Rabensteiner

I love a great tunic because…
It’s chic and comfortable and summer.

My tip to styling/accessorizing a tunic…
Earrings.

My favorite beach getaway in the world…
Hotel Il Pellicano.

And my recommendations on what to do/eat/see there…
Explore the Tuscan archipelago by boat and sleep under the full moon on Giannutri island.

My bohemian icon…
I do not have bohemian icons, but if I have to choose I would say Kate Moss when she was dressed bohemian.

The color I most love…
Navy, because it’s timeless. I love the depth of the color, it’s elegant and works with everything.

My backstory…
I’m the Vice President and Creative Director of Pellicano Hotels Group which is composed by Hotel Il Pellicano in Tuscany and La Posta Vecchia, close to Rome. I do live in Rome with my son and we move to Tuscany for the summer months where I become a ”resident” of Il Pellicano!
