Music festivals are like fashion weeks — there’s always another one around the corner. The season kicks off in the spring with majors like SXSW (March) and Coachella (April) and continues on in the summer with a whole host of shows for every type of music lover, from ravers (Electric Daisy Carnival in May and June) to folk (July’s Newport Folk Festival) and Korean Pop fans (KCON, earlier this month). And the schedule doesn’t slow down come fall. September is packed: Oasis in Marrakech, Lollapalooza in Berlin, Riot Fest in Chicago, Electric Zoo in New York… Jack Antonoff of Bleachers and Fun. is even holding his own festival, Shadow of the City, in his home state of New Jersey on September 19th. (Among the headliners, aside from Antonoff’s own Bleachers band: Charli XCX, Vic Mensa, the Front Bottoms and Robert Delong.) October brings Austin City Limits, there’s the amusingly named Fun Fun Fun Fest in November (also in the Live Music Capital of Austin) while the winter months are home to the SnowGlobe Music Festival (December) and 30A Songwriters Festival (January).
