Maggie Callahan’s white chocolate eggs — above in a canapé plate from the Dodie Thayer for Tory Burch collection — hit our sweet spot for a variety of reasons. For one, with Easter here, ’tis the season for chocolate and sugary confections. But we were also taken with the arty splatter treatment in the style of the Abstract Expressionist greats. And then there’s Callahan’s wonderful backstory: She spent a decade as a lawyer — complete with a degree from Harvard Law School — before striking out on her own with the launch of Maggie Louise Confections in 2013. Here at Tory Daily, that’s just the kind of entrepreneurial moxie, passion and drive we love to celebrate.
